The "Expert" activity encourages participants to adopt the mindset of an expert in a given field to consider unconventional ideas without fear of judgment. It emphasizes exploration over limitations, fostering creativity and open-mindedness. [1]
How it works
- Set the timer for 3 minutes by clicking the start button.
- Consider yourself as the "the expert" who will showcase your sales skills.
- Prepare a list of unrelated nouns that will be joined to form a new product. For example, "popcorn" and "milkshake," the product would be a "popcorn milkshake." or “Glitter” and “Tacos” the product would be a "Glitter Tacos.
- Now takes on the role of an enthusiastic salesperson and presents the benefits and features of the unique product you selected. It should emphasize its positive attributes, and why it would be a desirable and innovative item.
