Alternate Uses is a highly effective divergent thinking exercise designed to unlock creativity. It is a versatile activity that can be tailored to individual or groups of any size, making it suitable for everyone. By challenging yourself to come up with alternative uses for everyday objects, pushes you to think outside the box and explore unconventional ideas.[1]

How it works

  1. Set the timer for 3 minutes by clicking the start button below.
  2. Pick an ordinary object, maybe a vase, toothbrush or ball etc..
  3. Come up with as many different ways to use the thing as you can. A vase, for example, might be used as a pen holder, to store food, or as a coin bank.
  4. Bring out your creative side by coming up with weird and creative uses for things like vases, which may also be utilized as musical instruments or sculpture bases.

Importance
